MRE Long shelf life meals

MRE retort pouch packaging is flexible, is extremely durable and can withstand rough conditions, allowing for the extended shelf life of the food contents. MRE’s are completely precooked, self-contained foods (military meals) that require no refrigeration and can be eaten cold. The shelf life of MREs is based on storage temperature, but typically one can expect an average shelf life of 5 years for most products or longer if kept in cooler.
